With nearly two decades devoted exclusively to insurance-claim litigation, Mark Kahley brings deep trial experience and a rare, 360-degree view of the industry to every case. He earned his B.A. in Economics from the University of Florida (2002) and his J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law (2007). Mr. Kahley has been a member of The Florida Bar since 2007 and was admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida in 2011.
From 2006–2008, Mr. Kahley worked alongside the chief operating officer and general counsel of a regional insurance carrier, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and managing outside counsel on claims litigation. Seeking to try cases in court, he then spent more than a decade at an insurance-defense firm representing some of the nation’s largest insurers. There, he gained substantial trial experience defending third-party liability matters and bad-faith claims across Florida.
In 2018, Mr. Kahley shifted his practice to the plaintiff’s side, joining the largest plaintiffs’ law firm in Florida. He has since focused on holding insurers accountable for wrongfully denied or underpaid benefits and pursuing full, fair recovery for individuals and businesses. Outside the office, he enjoys time with family, coaching youth sports, and following University of Florida athletics.
