Law Firm Policies

Law Firm Policies & Legal Notices

This page explains important policies that apply to your use of our website and communications with Payne Law, PLLC. By using this site, you agree to these notices and any policies we reference or link.

Legal Notice & Attorney–Client Relationship

Website content (including blogs, downloads, checklists, videos, and FAQs) is general information and not legal advice. Reading this site or contacting us through forms, email, text, or social media does not create an attorney–client relationship. Do not send confidential or time-sensitive information until we confirm representation in writing via a signed engagement agreement.

Jurisdiction & Licensure

Our attorneys are licensed in specific jurisdictions (including Florida and Colorado). We may appear elsewhere only as permitted by local rules or pro hac vice admission. This website is not intended as a solicitation where it would be inconsistent with local law or ethics rules.

Attorney Advertising; Results & Testimonials

This website may be considered attorney advertising. Any results, verdicts, settlements, or client stories are illustrative and do not guarantee similar outcomes. Every case is different and turns on its own facts, policy language, and law. Testimonials reflect personal experiences and are not necessarily representative of all clients; where required, we disclose whether reviewers are clients and whether any consideration was provided (generally, none).

Case Evaluations, Conflicts & Engagement

A “free case review” or consultation is an initial evaluation to determine whether we can help and to check for conflicts. We may decline representation for any reason, including conflicts, scope, or resources. If both sides choose to proceed, the terms of representation—scope, fee structure, and cost responsibilities—will be provided in a written engagement agreement.

Fees, Costs & No Upfront Fees

Where stated, certain matters may be handled on a contingency-fee basis (our fee is tied to recovery), subject to the engagement agreement and applicable law. Case costs (experts, filings, records, etc.) vary by matter and jurisdiction; we explain how costs are handled before you sign. We do not begin representing you until we confirm the engagement in writing.

Communications, Confidentiality & Security

Unsolicited emails, web forms, texts, and social messages are not guaranteed secure or confidential and do not create an attorney–client relationship. If you choose to communicate electronically, you accept the associated risks (delivery, security, spam filters). Once retained, we will coordinate secure channels for sharing sensitive documents.

AI-Assisted Content Notice

Some website materials may be AI-assisted and not individually reviewed before publication. Laws and regulations change frequently; content may be incomplete, outdated, or inapplicable to your facts. For advice about your situation, consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.

Time Sensitivity & Legal Deadlines

Many legal rights are subject to strict deadlines (notice provisions, suit limitations, policy conditions). Delay can limit or waive claims. If you believe you have a legal issue, contact a licensed attorney promptly to preserve your rights.

Intellectual Property & Acceptable Use

All site content (text, images, graphics, downloads, logos) is protected by copyright and/or trademark owned by Payne Law, PLLC or third parties. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use only; any other use requires prior written consent. Do not scrape, frame, or reproduce content without permission.

Third-Party Links & Resources

Links to external sites are provided for convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, security, or privacy practices. Access third-party resources at your own risk.

We aim to make our website accessible to all users. If you encounter accessibility barriers, contact us at info@thepaynelaw.com or 407-915-5447 with “Accessibility” in the subject line. We will work to provide the content you need in an accessible format and to improve our site.
